Ricco Patterson brings a unique perspective to his work. Originally from Colombia, he was adopted by an Oregon family and became a U.S. citizen in 1984. His early life revolved around the rivers of Southern Oregon, working as a kayak instructor and guide for the family's Sundance Kayak School. He met his wife Sarah there in 1996.
